It’s idiot-proof. If you can’t spell or say AFRAH right, LAB 27 is right around the corner. 
I’ve always liked 27th July, so celebrate the day yeah?
I’m attracted to men, I’m straight.
I have no respect for people who swear.

    BLAB!
    BLAB!
    Sunday, April 19, 2009

    1. it's over. all over.
    2. goodbye, newly-made friends.
    3. goodbye, lovely maams.
    4. goodbye, rifles.
    5. goodbye, rations.
    6. goodbye, HTA.
    7. NPAP '09, goodbye.
I remembered the first time I stepped foot on HTA, gee, how shaken I was.
I remember turning left when we were ALL supposed to turn right. EMBARASSING. totally.

while we waited for the bus, jaslin and alicia decided to talk to the SJC girls. they were super friendly. joleen was the first to say hi to me. hah, joleen, remember what level I thought you were in?

they thought I was in sec 4. -.-

we took 2 group pics. and the bus came. that was when I first saw J. ouhhhh. LOL.
that was on the 6th of Feb.

on the second training, ms hani told us awesome news. NCHS NPCC unit got gold. so, we were in the Guard-Of-Honour contingent. =D

we started training in the drill shed, under shelter yo!
but that was when training REALLY started. being in GOH, we use rifles. our rifles would be our best friends, quoting from our lovely CIs. they were super heavy, at first. haha.

it was hard, super hard for me. FIRST, cuz I didn't know ANY rifle drills. SECOND, the maams were dead on strict. THIRD, I badly didn't want to end up in RESERVE. the maams had warned us, if you don't do well, one slight mistake, and in you go into RESERVE.

at school, us NPAP cadets [Jaslin, Alicia, Weiqi, Jun Xiong, Jun Wei, Han Loong, Daryl, Keith, Zhen Yuan and myself] had our own trainings on thursdays. see how hardworking we are!

not only did I strengthen bonds with seniors and other friends, I managed to know my CIs better.

I was on cloud nine when we went to draw our our no.1 uniforms. that was a fun day.

on the 4 of April, we had our preview. it felt so awesome to wear no.1. we marched, we sweat. it was like nothing I had ever encountered. after training, we went for lunch. damn, that was super. took neoprints, talked about J and other guys. *swoons*

we only had 4 trainings left before the real thing. that was sad, real sad. but we put the dates aside. we hung out alot.

on the 17th of April, the last day, we reminisced during dinner.

the next day we had breakfast together. we weren't gonna let time go to waste.

the buzz was mega strong at HTA. I can tell you that. everyone was on the highest level of anxiety. we did one practice run before the real thing.

everyone was hugging one another, wishing the best of luck. when we saw the sea of spectators, it was like, WOW. haha. amazingly, everything went FANTASTICALLY. maybe even better than fantastic. it was gorgeous.

I counted the number of people on the grand stand to kill time. I could even see my parents. -.-

the reception for the cadets was fabulous. the food, divine. the location, splendid. the music, ouhlalala. LOL. I even got to see Sir Zhiyu. hahahahaha. joleen and dionis thougtht I would have gone up to J and talked to him. I can do dares, but on my own will? no way...

up in the lecture theater, our maams anounced BCCs. CONGRATS.

I saw J again, for the last time, I'm guessing. awww.

exchanged numbers, email adds and hugs.

I want to acknowledge my CIs, maam shuting and yingfang and sir chee eng for coming back on thursdays to train us.

thank you sir chee eng, for putting up with all our crap and bringing us to draw out our no.1s. ohoh and for the burning bushes. ;)

thank you maams saleha, michelle and jolene for training us super well for NPAP '09. we couldn't possibly do it without you guys. love ya'll.

thank you spectators for the awesome support.

    thank you ms hani.

thank you mom and dad, for letting me stay up just to polish my boots.

and thank you God, for opening this door of opportunity to me. cuz supposingly, it was for my sec 3 seniors ONLY.

I've made so much friends, from all around the schools. I've advanced knowledge. I've learnt that you must NOT drink 10 cups of water during break time. I've learnt that HUSH PUPPIES aren't so great after all. I've learnt the art of burning bushes. I've learnt that you'll never know, till you try.

so NPAP '09, I salute you. and with warmest of hearts, I thank you.

    KAWALAN KEHORMATAN, KELUAR BARIS!
